Campus Social Café | Famagusta, Cyprus
Designed within a university campus in Cyprus, this faculty cafeteria pavilion reimagines the cafeteria as a social connector rather than a simple service space. The project creates a compact yet active environment where students and staff can gather, eat, study, and interact throughout the day. The building combines a transparent indoor café area with outdoor seating and an accessible rooftop terrace, allowing the social activity to extend beyond the interior. Large glass façades strengthen the visual connection with the surrounding campus courtyard, while the external stair emphasizes movement and creates a clear architectural link between the ground level and the upper terrace. The design language is light, open, and contemporary, using exposed structural frames, glass surfaces, a floating roof canopy, simple metal details, and Mediterranean landscape elements. These components give the pavilion a calm and inviting character while allowing it to blend naturally with the atmosphere
